  • Aadhaar card
  • Birth certificate (issued by municipality/gram panchayat)
  • School transfer certificate / marksheet (Class 10)
  • Passport
  • PAN card (for age proof only)

Minimum age: 18 years for car/motorcycle; 16 years for motorcycles under 50cc (with parent's consent)

2. Address Proof (any one)

4. Application Forms

  • Form 1: Application for Learner's Licence
  • Form 1A: Medical certificate (physical fitness declaration)

These forms are available free of cost at the RTO, or downloadable from Parivahan.gov.in

5. Payment

  • Fee: ₹200–₹400 (varies by state and vehicle class)
  • Accepted via DD, online payment, or cash at RTO cashier

Self-Attestation Rules

For non-transport vehicles (personal cars, motorcycles), documents can be self-attested — you sign and date the photocopy yourself.

For transport/commercial vehicles, you may need gazetted officer attestation.

How to self-attest: Write "Self-Attested" + your signature + date on the photocopy of each document.

Online Application via Parivahan

You can apply online and just visit RTO for the test (no queuing for forms):
